Classroom decor can make a big difference in how a room feels, but I also like it to be useful. I want my classroom to feel welcoming and put together without making it feel too busy.

Over the years, I’ve created several classroom decor themes with matching pieces that can be used throughout the room. Depending on the set, you may find things like alphabet posters, labels, signs, calendars, banners, desk nameplates, classroom management pieces, and more.

If you are looking for a classroom theme, here are some of the different styles I have created.

This theme is great if you like maps, travel, and a little bit of an adventure feel in your classroom. It includes coordinating pieces that can be used for organization, displays, and everyday classroom routines.

A tropical classroom theme adds a bright, cheerful look without needing a lot of extra decorations. I like using matching labels, nameplates, posters, and classroom signs to help everything feel pulled together.

A space theme is always fun for students and works well in both elementary and upper elementary classrooms. Stars, planets, and galaxy colors make it easy to create a classroom that feels colorful without being too busy.

If you love dogs, this is a fun way to bring that into the classroom. A dog theme works especially well for labels, student nameplates, signs, and classroom organization.

Camping decor gives the classroom a cozy, outdoorsy feel. It works well with rustic colors, signs, labels, and classroom management pieces.

Succulents and cactus designs are easy to use because they work with so many classroom color schemes. This theme is a good choice if you want something colorful but still fairly simple.

Other Classroom Decor Themes

I have also created classroom decor in several other styles, including:

  • Rainbow

  • Boho

  • Apples

  • Confetti

  • Pineapple

  • Nautical

  • Jungle

  • Travel the Map

  • Bright Dots & Arrows

You can browse the different themes and choose the one that works best with your classroom style.

Keeping Classroom Decor Useful

One thing I try to keep in mind when decorating is that classroom decor should do more than just look cute. Labels help students know where things belong, nameplates can include useful reference tools, and posters can support the routines and skills you use every day.

I like using the same theme throughout the room because it makes everything feel more organized without having to add a lot of extra pieces.
